Alex's Tattoo Story

Experience

Alex has been tattooing for over a decade. He began his career with a traditional apprenticeship, where he learned both tattooing and body piercing; However, due to the demand for his tattoo work, he no longer does body piercing. Alex's art has given him the opportunity to tattoo across the country, from Colorado to Mississippi. He currently work at North Main Tattoo Studio & Art Gallery in Plymouth, Michigan.

Inspiration

Alex's artwork (both traditional art and tattoo art) is greatly inspired by nature and world around him as well as his lifelong experience as an artist. When Alex isn't tattooing he loves to travel. Traveling has allowed him to see the world in new and unique ways and then take that inspiration back to Plymouth and channel it into is art and tattoos! He prefers highly detailed projects that allow him to showcase his technical ability and attention to detail. While Alex is experienced in nearly all styles of tattooing, his is currently focusing on animal portraits!

How do I make an Appointment?

All appointments and bookings are handled though email, if you have previously reached out on social media, please resubmit your request by email. Email requests can be made by clicking 'Appointments' at the top of the screen, or by emailing Alex directly at AlexHunterTattoos@gmail.com please include the following: Name, Phone Number, Description of tattoo, Color or Black & Grey, Location of the tattoo and then any reference images you have!

Appointments generally begin with an in-person consultation. After the consultation is complete, a date and time can be selected for your appointment.

A deposit is required to book your appointment! Deposits are $200 and are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits are applied toward the price of the tattoo (for projects that require multiple sessions, the deposit will be applied to the final session). Deposits are considered to be forfeit if the client fails to show up to their appointment or reschedules without providing 48 hour notice. You may reschedule your appointment one time as a courtesy and retain your deposit. After that, a new deposit is required to reschedule.

Deposits can be made though CashApp, Venmo, or by calling the shop and paying over the phone with a credit card. You can also pay in cash at the shop (see website for shop hours) . A non-refundable deposit is required for all tattoo appointments, so please schedule responsibly!

Tattoo Time and Multiple Sessions

I typically work 4 to 6 hours at a time, per tattoo session. Portraits, single flowers and other smaller pieces can be finished in one sitting. However, there are many projects that must be broken up into multiple sessions. Due to my schedule, if we are working on a multiple session tattoo (depending on how often you wish to get tattooed) we may want to schedule multiple appointments from the beginning. This is by all means optional, just worth considering if you are looking to have your project completed sooner!

Prices

My hourly rate is $200, with a 2 hour minimum for all appointments

Cancellations

Please give 48 hours notice PRIOR to your appointment. You can more you appointment ONE time and retain the deposit with that scheduled appointment. Requesting a new design or changes will require a new deposit.
